Join us for this session with two awesome speakers! Dr. Broman will lead a discussion on Emerging Technologies and Bob Cunningham will share his wisdom and career path strategies based on his long history in the industry.
Dr. Broman has been working in Information Technology for over 25 years, along with 7 years Curriculum Management and Design, 17 years teaching experience in Higher Education, 10 years Project Management experience, and 17 years as a Subject Matter Expert in Information Technology.
Dr. Broman has an extensive background in Network Management, Security and Design, with research interests in Telecommuting in the 21st Century, Cryptography and Cryptanalysis, Effective Organizational Communication, Ethics in Information Technology, Information Systems Security and Control, Online Learning Management and Facilitation, Data Management and Analytics, and Cognitive Science and Educational Psychology.
Dr. Broman earned a Doctorate in Information Technology Management, a Master of Science in Management Information Systems, and a Bachelor of Science in Information Technology. Dr. Broman is also a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and a Microsoft Certified Professional.
Mr. Robert (Bob) Cunningham is the Acting Executive Director of Enterprise Command Operations at the Department of Veterans Affairs. He has responsibility for directing the Enterprise Service Desk, Enterprise Command Center, and the Major Incident and Problem Management teams that support the Department of Veterans Affairs.
Mr. Cunningham was previously the Director over the Enterprise Service Desk (ESD). He has more than 20 years of experience in Information Technology and Managed Services leadership. Mr. Cunningham has a proven record of strategically building and leading service delivery teams as well as mentoring and developing employees. This past year he was able to work with his team to improve all areas of the ESD; with one of considerable lowering time for staff onboarding.
Mr. Cunningham served in the United States Air Force for more than 11 years. He was awarded numerous decorations during his time in the military and continues to support Veterans through his work with the Department of Veterans Affairs. He also earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Strayer University in Computer Information Systems and currently holds certifications in Executive Leadership, Project Management, and ITIL.
